News and Updates

The Borough of Coplay utilizes two forms of recyclable collections; curbside collection of newspaper, glass, metal (including water heaters, propane tanks, appliances without freon) and plastics and drop off for tires. Residents should be aware that the following co-mingled recyclables are acceptable: aluminum cans, steel cans, #1 and #2 plastic pourable bottles that have a neck (milk, laundry, shampoo, soda, juice bottles), glass bottles/jars (clear, brown, green). DO NOT SAVE yogurt cups, sour cream containers, lids, butter tubs, flower pots, plastic bags, and plastic #3 and #7, etc.

Also, no ceramic cups or dishes, coffee mugs, pyrex, glasses, light bulbs, windows. Newspaper includes newsprint only. Do not use plastic bags and do not include cereal or wax board boxes.

If you miss a collection or two and really need to empty your bins, Whitehall Township does allow Coplay residents to bring their items to their recycling center at 2600 Eberhart Road. This center also accepts magazines.
