From the Desk of our Public Works Director – following winter weather, it is imperative that snow be properly cleared from dumpster and garbage can locations to allow ease of collection. When cans are stored in the same area without moving, snow tends to settle and pack them in hindering the sanitation crew’s ability to remove refuse. Lids should be used to prevent falling snow from filling the cans as well. Obstructed cans or those deemed too heavy to safely empty will not be collected.
The 2012 Scholarship Application is available through the Borough Office or click here to print the application. Scholarships are available for a first year student, in the amount of $1,000 and payment is made directly to the College, University or School in which the applicant is enrolled. Applications must be postmarked no later than MAY 4.
